Here we are midway through October and I find that it becomes a really easy time to let yourself slide on goals. I give myself excuses that things are busy with the holidays and life gets in the way. That’s the point of a New Year’s resolution anyway, right? However, I want to change that mindset this year. Let’s finish the last three months strong. Stay focused on goals and don’t make excuses. How can I move towards my future best self, will not be by letting things slide today. A strategy that I have found to help me do this is writing down my weekly goals as well as daily goals. When I review my last weeks goals, I can see what I accomplished and maybe what I didn’t quite get to and then work on how I can improve myself the next week. So it is always trying to do a little bit better than the week before. Mathematically, even if you just improve a little each week, it would turn into a lot by the end of the year.
